Job Title: AIG Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director of Curriculum

Job Description: Oversee the AIG program

Job Duties:

• Gather names of referred students
• Administer, score, and share results of ability tests and screenings
• Review EOG scores yearly to identify new students
• Complete forms to identify new students and gain appropriate signatures
• Maintain an AIG folder for each identified student and for each

non-identified student who was given an ability test

• Maintain a copy of identified and tested students containing scores, dates of testing, and identification information
• Share AIG information with other districts as AIG students leave the district
• Coordinate with data managers for each school to update the AIG Fall and Spring Headcounts for DPI
• Share lists of identified students with principals and AIG specialists in each building
• Compile contact information, specifically emails, for AIG students and their parents
• Coordinator AIG Parent Nights 
• Work with AIG specialists to coordinate field trips for K-12 AIG students
• Share information about the AIG cohort with RRGSD employees 
• Lead professional development for and provide support to  RRGSD staff on gifted learners
• Lead AIG professional learning community meetings
• Maintain the AIG webpage on the RRGSD Instructional Services website
• Work with the Director of Curriculum, AIG PLC, and the AIG District Council to review, monitor, maintain, and revise the AIG Plan and submit the revised plan the RRGSD Board of Trustees every three years 
• Work with NCDPI to complete yearly self-evaluations, to attend district and state level meetings, and to stay abreast of the updates on the most current plan revisions 
• Coordinate the Credit by Demonstrated Mastery process 
• Support academic opportunities in schools 
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor
